The Expedition

Every empire leaves a body.
She found the grave.

When a dying cartographer mails Dr. Isla Voss half of a fourteenth-century chart, it points to a coastline that appears on no modern map — and a kingdom history insists never existed.

Three days later, the cartographer is dead, the other half of the chart is gone, and a private military syndicate called the Meridian Company is asking questions in Isla's name. What follows is a hunt across three continents for the Sunken Crown — the lost regalia of the Thalassian kings, said to command the tide itself.

From a temple city swallowed by the jungle to a burning steppe citadel and a sinkhole that eats daylight whole, Isla must out-climb, out-shoot, and out-think an enemy that has been searching for four hundred years — and decide whether some things deserve to stay buried.

Gameplay

Built for the climb, the fight, and the puzzle between them.

Free-Solo Traversal

A physics-driven climbing system with real grip, momentum, and consequence. Every cliff, wreck, and ruin in the world is a route — chalk your hands, read the rock, and commit.

Third-Person Gunplay

Cover-based firefights with scavenged weapons, improvised explosives, and a bow that rewards patience. Battles stage themselves across collapsing ruins, cargo yards, and canyon roads.

Living Ancient Machinery

Multi-chamber tomb puzzles built on water, weight, and light. No glowing hints — the answers are carved into the architecture for those who slow down and look.

Expedition Journal & Photo Mode

Document every relic in Isla's hand-illustrated field journal, then frame the fall of light through a full cinematic photo suite with era-accurate film stocks.

Expedition sigil — Voss field journal

The Archaeologist

Dr. Isla Voss

“Archaeology is just grave-robbing with footnotes. The difference is what you do when the grave robs back.”

A disgraced maritime archaeologist and free-solo climber, Isla was thrown out of the academy for insisting the Thalassian kingdom was real. Sharp-tongued, methodical, and quietly reckless, she narrates the expedition through a living field journal — and she is not the only one keeping notes on this hunt.

Company seal — the Meridian charter

The Meridian Company

Director Elias Mercer

“History belongs to whoever can afford to excavate it. I simply pay in advance.”

Heir to the four-century charter of the Meridian Company, Mercer has spent a fortune and three fleets chasing the Crown his ancestors failed to raise. Polished, patient, and entirely without limits, he doesn't want to sell the tide — he wants to command it. He considers Isla a subcontractor who hasn't signed yet.

The Engineer

Cass Okonkwo

“Isla finds the doors. I make sure they open — and, more importantly, that they open again on the way out.”

Salvage diver, bush pilot, and the only person Isla has ever apologized to, Cass keeps the expedition breathing — literally. They rebuilt the dive rig from a scuttled Meridian wreck and hold the team's one working radio, which makes them the first target when the Company comes calling.
